This is a site where people who are interested in discussing the ways civilization, cultures and governments can be improved. It will be implemented by blogs, web sites and other means of discussing knowledge. It is suggested here that, the way the human race is evolving socially and politically is not satisfactory and seems to be leading to a miserable existence for future generations. I believe there can be a way of designing a future civilization or a group of civilizations that will enhance human life. One person cannot accomplish this and I need your help in being a contributor to a new set of cultures. This site will allow you: to contribute your ideas, collaborate with others in areas you choose, educate each other, and move on from just ideas to new societies of friends and in time creates real societies, where you and then your children will be able to live in a truly democratic world, while achieving maximum benefits for individuals.

The PARACULTURE society will allow you to learn, to teach, and to implement your ideas. You can create local societies and integrate them into a larger whole. We will do our best to educate others and implement ideas without inducing anger.

We will discuss working, farming, as well as past, present and future utopias. We have been programmed to look at Utopias' as impossible dreams but not considering "utopian" ideas may be to accept the confusion and dissolution of society. And that is what seems to be happening. The people of Earth seem to be in a rudderless ship and the seas are stormy.

Paraculture will be educational and an internet guide and will attempt to simplify the information overload of our lives so we can grow and accomplish real tasks that are needed for a better life and a better world.

CURRENT GOVERNMENT AND CULTURAL STRUCTURES ARE OUTDATED. My opinion is yes and that it what we can share ideas on.

I believe it is time to gradually create a new system of government which retains the integrity of the United States Constitution as it was intended while utilizing other works of wisdom that man has discovered. .

Chinese philosopher's advice "plan for what is difficult while it is easy, do what is great while it is small."

Erich Fromm postulated five basic needs:

1.Relatedness - relationships with others, care, respect, knowledge;

2.Transcendence - creativity, develop a loving and interesting life;

3.Rootedness - feeling of belonging;

4.Sense of Identity - see ourselves as a unique person and part of a social group.

5.A frame of orientation - the need to understand the world and our place in it.

Fromm's thesis of the "escape from freedom" is epitomized in the following passage. The "individualized man" referenced by Fromm is man bereft of "primary ties" of belonging (nature, family, etc.), also expressed as "freedom from":

"There is only one possible, productive solution for the relationship of individualized man with the world: his active solidarity with all men and his spontaneous activity, love and work, which unite him again with the world, not by primary ties but as a free and independent individual"
